Guided Social Walk in Nature
Are you feeling isolated, disconnected and lonely? Meet new people while walking in nature with a local guide.
Time & Location
Jun 11, 2024, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Edale, Water Meadows, Hope Rd, Edale, Hope Valley S33 7ZQ, UK
About the event
A gentle walk in nature with a small group of adults, led by a local Hill and Moorland Leader. This will feel a safe space to begin to socialise with new people and to connect with nature.
These walks are aimed towards people who are feeling isolated and lonely, and who feel restricted by their financial circumstances. This might apply (but not limited) to people who are carers, who have been made redundant, who feel stressed by personal circumstances. This is an open invitation and you will not be asked to talk about or declare your personal circumstances.
Bring along some snacks and a flask of tea or coffee, something comfortable to sit on for when we take a break. Please leave some flexibility with the end time.
Parking in Edale village costs £4.50 so please take this into account.
Sarah Lister, your guide, will provide a weather forecast in advance and recommendations on what to wear and bring with you. There will be a combination of valley and hill walks and all of them will be a relaxed pace.
Important note: This isn't a coaching or therapy session, or a networking event. This is a relaxed and informal social walk to give you an opportunity to connect with new people.
Please check with Sarah if you want to bring your dog/s. Email: sarah@sarahventurer.com
